Chief Minister  Vijay Bahuguna announced Rs. 10 lakh for library of High Court Bar Council. He  also asked the office bearers of the council to forward proposals for residence  and chambers for advocates as per the available land. Meanwhile, the Bar  Council presented draft of Rs. 1.25 lakh to Mr. Bahuguna for Chief Minister  Relief Fund.
 Chief Minister  Bahuguna speaking as the Chief Guest of a program organized by High Court Bar  Council on Friday said that Bar and the Bench were complimentary to each other  hence it was necessary to maintain coordination between both. Stating that
  interest of litigants were most important, he said that early justice to them  would always prove beneficial to them. Describing importance of library in the  work of advocates, he called on the young advocates to visit library as much as  they could. Narrating some of the incident of his days as advocate, Mr.  Bahuguna wished them for bright future. Stating that advocates belonged to the  section of intellectuals, he called on them to contribute in the development of  the State. He said that they could approach him directly or through mail and  phone to discus issues pertaining to their welfare and grievances. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Indira Hridayesh  said that Bar Council of the High Court had great significance hence the  advocates working here ought to get the requisite facilities.  
Also Present on the occasion were Cabinet Minister  Yashpal Arya, area MLA Sarita Arya, President of Bar Council Prithviraj  Chauhan, advocates UK Uniyal, Dr. Mahendra Pal, DK Sharma and Qurban Ali.
